A inconditus civitas*

About 2 hostels, 4 days and citys, 16 hour shifts, 25g of Golden Virginia, 40 quid, 60 new friends, over 1000 miles, more than £10,000 made a day, 340,000 tickets, six million followers, £12 million costs and only one Pope!

Thats to sum up just a small account of the tour we attempted to finish last week. I was working for a friend with the company IVS Merchandise selling the rock style memorabilia to the holiest followers. Baseball caps with "heart speaks unto heart" slogen on going for £12, keyrings for £6, and for the big spender Swarovski bracelet costing a wopping £30!
Didnt sell many mind you, but will did sell tonnes of holy un-blessed rosary beads, prayer cards, candles and T-shirts. The whole tour was a barrel of fun especially when we went out in Glasgow, believe it or not we had fun in Glasgow! Went to night club called The Garage, pretty amazing prices:- £1.20 for a vodka and Red Bull or a pint of Fosters at £2.00 what a bargin!
Anyway the gigs themselves were very well run and organised, the stages were, well amazing to say the least and all the open-air events had huge T.V. screens to get closer to the "messager" himself.
If you ever have a opp to work as a Merch on tour, do because its one of the best things i have ever done, not just for the money but for the friends, the traveling and the free Pope Benedict T-shirts at the end.
