Well connected to Meadowlands Festival based in Brighton, we have unprecedented access to show you behind the scenes of the festival. We also see, recommend and embrace local up-and-coming bands in Brighton and beyond! *A confused state.

Hurst Festival
Winter is passing in but that doesn't spot the 300 or so family's, teenager's and common people like us going to see the bands and performers playing in Hurst playing field. Lovepark was the band i couldn't wait to see, and managed to film most of their set.
I got lots of editing to do for film and photos so more to come later this week................

A inconditus civitas*
About 2 hostels, 4 days and citys, 16 hour shifts, 25g of Golden Virginia, 40 quid, 60 new friends, over 1000 miles, more than £10,000 made a day, 340,000 tickets, six million followers, £12 million costs and only one Pope!
Thats to sum up just a small account of the tour we attempted to finish last week. I was working for a friend with the company IVS Merchandise selling the rock style memorabilia to the holiest followers. Baseball caps with "heart speaks unto heart" slogen on going for £12, keyrings for £6, and for the big spender Swarovski bracelet costing a wopping £30!
Didnt sell many mind you, but will did sell tonnes of holy un-blessed rosary beads, prayer cards, candles and T-shirts. The whole tour was a barrel of fun especially when we went out in Glasgow, believe it or not we had fun in Glasgow! Went to night club called The Garage, pretty amazing prices:- £1.20 for a vodka and Red Bull or a pint of Fosters at £2.00 what a bargin!

Anyway the gigs themselves were very well run and organised, the stages were, well amazing to say the least and all the open-air events had huge T.V. screens to get closer to the "messager" himself.
If you ever have a opp to work as a Merch on tour, do because its one of the best things i have ever done, not just for the money but for the friends, the traveling and the free Pope Benedict T-shirts at the end.*A confused state (in Latin)

Whoa!!!!!!
Unkle have a new song out and its amazing. But to make it 100,000,000 times better, John Hillcoat (The Proposition, The Road) has created a short film featuring Ray Winstone (Scum, Quadrophenia, The Proposition) about when he was struck by lightning.
Its like some trippy Space Odyssey 2001 experience, check it out.
Unkle "The Answer" is released on 13th September and available at all independent record shops!

Meadowlands Festival Day 6
![]() |
I'll be quiet. Anyway there is a little known village called Glynde just a few miles east of Lewes. We hold the gig there, its in the grounds of this huge mansion strangely named Glynde Place!
This will be our fourth festival to date, but larger than the previous festivals (I'll stop saying festival) as we are adding an extra day on the weekend Yeah!!
And there will also be a other tent run by the almighty Bang Said The Gun aka that bubbly fella Dan Cockrills Wow!!
Now I cant tell you to much about whats going to happen or some Top Secret info, that's because i don't know any and probably because if i knew any I'll be dead.
But that's not to say I won't be spilling some dirt on the bacchanal!!!!

Not exactly L.A.
Well there were "riots" or more arrests in Brighton 2 weeks ago on that sunday, you know the one...29th August i do believe. EDL the far-right "gang" aka The English Nationalist Alliance a bunch of fascists, but dont let me tell you find out for youself.
Anyway before i get into ranting i thought i better tell you about a video i made about 2 years ago but never put it on-line. The protests are in Brighton and it was filmed near the Brighton Pier. The protests were about and organised by The Socialist Worker party, to get more jobs or something, yeah more jobs would be good.
And the song is Hayling by fc kahuna,
Ta.
